Matthijs De Visch monument

The painter Matthijs De Visch was born on March 22th 1701 in Reninge. He was the most considerable painter of his generation in West Flanders. He executed numerous works by order of governamental institutes, churches and convents. His works are on view in several museums in Brugge, Damme, Ieper, Bergues and in the castle of Belœil, but also in several churches in particular the churches of Reninge and Lo.
